What are e-cigarettes?

E-cigarettes are battery operated inhalers that consist of a rechargeable battery, a clearomizer and atomiser. When you press the button on the battery this heats up the atomiser and causes the liquid in the clearomizer to turn into vapour which in turn delivers not only the nicotine but delicious flavours to you.

What are vaporizers?

Vaporizers have been around in various forms since the 1960s, though, in that era the sets were more of the tabletop variety and not very pocketable. Chinese pharmacist Hon Lik is largely credited as the modern vaporizer's inventor (also called "e-cigarettes"), apparently finding the inspiration after his father died from cancer. The device, then known as Ruyan (means "like smoke") was a hit in his homeland, so naturally it made its way to the US in the mid 2000s. "Vaping" -- the common term for using a vaporizer -- is simply applying heat to a liquid which creates vapor. Breathing in the nearly-odorless vapor gives the smoker their nicotine hit. There are now a wide variety of electronic cigarettes on the market suiting everyone’s individual needs and tastes.

How does vaping differ from traditional smoking?

E-cigarettes differ from traditional cigarettes in that they do not contain carcinogens such as arsenic and vinyl chloride. Additionally, there is no secondhand smoke associated with vaping.

What is vaping?

Vaping is defined as the act of inhaling water vapor through a personal vaporizer or electronic cigarette. When users draw on the device, the battery heats the liquid, which is then atomized into an inhalable vapor. So, if you want to produce massive clouds of vapour, but are not particularly interested in rebuildable mods, this blog post is for you. Together we’ll explore the devices, techniques and the juice that you need to maximise the vapour from your electronic cigarette. Example kits would be: The atomisers in these kits are all less than 1 oHm and these kits produce a large amount of power compared to a normal ecig, a typical ecig may produce 8-10w but some of these sub ohm devices can produce up to 220w of power. Also you use thicker VG liquid in it, this liquid is specially formulated to vapourize at higher temperatures and produce large volumes of clouds.

If you have been vaping for a while, you are most likely wondering how to produce bigger vape clouds. You have probably seen that some people are able to blow enormous clouds of vapour, whilst your own puny vapour puffs carry a stronger resemblance to the swirls from a steamy cup of coffee. The good news is that blowing bigger vape clouds all comes down to two things; more vapour production and technique. Let's further explore these tips for bigger vape clouds.

Tip # 1 : Increase vapour production

Increase your power - Increasing the power of your device will allow you to vaporize e-liquid at a much quicker pace. People have discovered that vaping with a powerful battery, and a low resistance coil is an effective way to increase vapor production. This is called sub-ohm vaping. In short, it involves vaping with a coil that has a resistance lower than one ohm. By reducing the resistance of the coil, more power is able to pass through the circuit which enables you to vaporize liquid at a much quicker rate. It is important to note that the increase in power doesn't create more vapor, instead it allows you to receive that vapor quicker than if you were to vaporize the e-liquid with less power. This in turn vaporizes the e-liquid quicker which results in more vapor drawn in from a single inhale. Increase your Air-flow - Firstly, if you increase the power of your vape through higher wattages or lower resistance coils, the vapour's temperature increases and may become too hot to vape comfortably. Increasing the airflow allows for more fresh air to come in and cools the temperature of the vapor, making it more comfortable to inhale. Use the right E-juice - The e-juice you use also influences the size of your clouds. We know that e-liquid is made of two basic components, the VG and the PG. Since these two components both serve different functions, most e-juices are a blend between the two. PG is what provides the flavour and throat hit, whilst VG provides the vapour. Therefore, if your intention is purely to increase vapour production and produce bigger clouds, then you need an e-juice that’s high in VG. Juices' that contain around a 70% VG / 30% PG ratio will be able to produce large, thick clouds.

How to choose between PG and VG E-liquid?

PG e-liquid tends to give you a better throat hit and a lot more flavor. VG e-liquid on the other hand, allows your atomizer to produce a lot more vapor. VG e-liquid is a thicker and more sticky fluid, and although most people do not show signs of allergy with VG, there are minority groups who are allergic to VG (Vegetable Glycerin) The more VG e-liquid you use, the less of a throat hit you’re going to get – that’s the general idea. Some e-liquid formulations such as the tobacco flavoured e-liquids carry a balanced mix of PG and VG: 50/50. Where as other flavours, including the Harmony CBD e-liquid range, have higher PG than VG (70/30). The vaping community is evenly divided when it comes to e-liquid preference. Some enjoy the intense throat hits more than flavor and vapor, others enjoy the sweet, thick plumes of vapor.

Tips #2: Perfect your technique: Step by step

1. Exhale and empty your lungs completely.

2. Lean forward slightly and exhale again to get rid of excess air in your lungs.

3. Without inhaling, blow the remaining air into your device so that you can see the vapor escape the air vents. This will increase the vapor production when you inhale through your device, giving you a kick-start on your cloud.

4. Now inhale for as long and as hard as you can. As you inhale straighten your back upwards to open upon your lungs and allow more vapor to enter.

5. Now (this may take some practice) exhale at a steady normal pace while simultaneously pushing your jaw out slightly. By pushing out your jaw, you allow your throat to open up so that vapor can easily escape.

6. At the last moment, when you feel you’re almost out of air, tighten your lips. This will shoot out a powerful shot of air that will cause the released vapor to explode into a huge cloud.
